About the Kansas City Jr. Blues

Your Kansas City Metro High School Rugby Team

The Kansas City Junior Blues are a nationally ranked high school rugby club founded in 1992. The Junior Blues are the high school team of the Kansas City Blues Men’s Rugby Club that has been in existence since 1966.  

 

The Kansas City Junior Blues have a long history of producing some of the best rugby players in the country.  At U-19 level, the Junior Blues have produced several national team players and had several players who were All Americans.  

 

The coaching staff of the Junior Blues prides themselves on developing positive young men through the sport of rugby while instilling its core values of hard work, discipline, dedication, and teamwork.  

 

The Jr. Blues have been extremely successful over their 30+ year history, winning the Missouri state championship seven times in the competition's ten-year existence, as well as finishing top five in the nation, eight different times.  

 

The Junior Blues fields two teams and has high school players of all ages from Freshman through to Seniors.
